ALDO targeted groups/beneficiaries.

2. People living with HIV/AIDS, TB, CANCER, Alcohol, Drugs and Subsistence Abuse Addicts, etc.

Identified persistent challenges.

1. Unemployment-leading to hooliganism or evil activities 

2. Social and historical injustices leading to immoralities-rape, domestic violence, inhuman treatment leading to disrespect and social unrest.

3. Poor infrastructure and lack of modern facilities –integrated schools, hospital, tarmac roads, electricity and other significant facilities leading to under developed regions.

4. High illiteracy rate - due to absence of quality education and lack of access to modern integrated learning facilities. 

5. Outdate traditional beliefs and cultural malpractices - hindering the upright values and interests of individuals and the community at large. 

6. High Poverty level- resulting from poor infrastructure and lack of access to national resources affecting individual abilities to access quality goods and services, encourage corruption and other environmental and livelihoods mismanagement.

7. Ethnic/ tribal conflict-quarrelling and conflicting over the limited/scared resources creating harsh living environment for them.

8. Lack of political good will-selfish interest and dishonest to their publics.

9. Corruption and irresponsible governance-personal gains instead of public interests.

10. Conservative religious leaders - do not involve in governance and remain in religious institutions only.

11. Poor representations of the marginalized and minority groups.

12. High cost of living and low income earnings-under minds the ability, creativity, innovation and 

development, also increase and facilitate crime rate in the society.

13. Lack of adequate health care and services.

ALDO Risks management.


1. Inclusive engagement of all stakeholders.
2. Initiate and put up the right projects/activities as per the need of the local communities, research finding and information from the ground.
3. Well informed, knowledgeable, honest administration, motivated staff, strategic plans, monitoring and evaluation team and methodology.
4. Adequate and efficient resources-human, fund, materials, services etc.
5. Emergency responds technical team and funds.
6. Close supervision and frequent Monitory and evaluation.

ALDO Projects sustainability.


1. Management, responsibility and authority of all projects/activities or facilities remains under ALDO during development and implementation.
2. Charge some fair and affordable fees where applicable.
3. Develop and create fund generating projects/premises or activities for self-reliance.
4. Mobilize grants, scholarship, sponsorship, bursaries, donations, relief and other source of financial support.
5. Technically motivates staff for commitment and determination to accomplish ALDO goals and objectives.
6. Put up ALDO development and implementation strategic plan to contain well defined objectives inclusive short term and long term plan. 
7. Inclusive engagement, collaboration and partnership with the local communities and development partners.

ALDO past performance. 


ALDO Organization since its inception has continued to play a very important role in community development work and made significant achievements some of which include the following: 

1. Building partnerships.
2. Enhanced organizational learning.
3. Enhance logistic capacity to respond to emergencies and disasters. 
4. Accessibility to quality water by vulnerable communities and commercial farming. 
5. Improved methodology in food production and resources management.
6. Encouraging savings and borrowing culture to improve access to micro-financing. 
7. Promoting and creating awareness on unity of purpose, human rights for justice and peace, democracy, integrity, affordable health services and improved local capacity for resilience.
8. Supporting development of sustainable and functional community projects that the vulnerable look upon for inspiration.
9. Civic education on constitutional, community and individual obligations and empowerment.
10. Advocacy for the welfare of marginalized, minority and vulnerable groups.
11. Creating awareness through community mobilization and promotion and establishment of psychosocial support groups.
12. Accessibility to quality integrated education through ALDO facilitation sponsorship/scholarship and support. 

ALDO MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE AND AUTHORIZED BANK SIGNATORIES.

A.Executive Directors: 
They are three (3) in number who are signatories to the Bank Accounts and always MUST sign any withdrawal from the account, they are:-

1. Sheikh Siat Kedie Salat……………………………….Chairman.
2. Mr. Ahmed Ashkir Dahir…………………………….Secretary.
3. Mr. Hassan Ibrahim Ibren…………………………..Treasurer.  

B. Non-Executive Directors:
This is (1) one and together with the above three (3) they make a total of four (4) Board Members who their joint effort make the policies of the Organization.

C. General Members:
The general members of the Organization are seven (7) in number including the four (4) Board Members who their joint efforts approve the general Organizational matters.

D. Departmental Committees:
These are General Members and they are the seven (7) members shown above, who are divided into sub-committees who supervise, monitor, handle or implement different responsibilities or activities. 

E. Secretariats:
These are Staff/Employees of the Organization who curry out day to day activities. 
The secretariats is headed by the CEO who always attends all meeting of the Organization including the Executive Board meeting.
He is the overall and in charge of daily activities, proper records keeping, coordination and management of the Organization. He is answerable directly to the Executive, specifically to the Chairman.
Currently there are five (5) members of staff who are working on salary and nine (9) who are working on voluntarily basis.
