AL-KAWTHAR (THE BLESSED) DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION -
ALDO is a young National, charitable and socio-economic Non-Governmental Organization, technically composed of responsible, focused, determined and committed personalities to fulfill and satisfy the expectations of partner development, donors and other stakeholders,
with experienced management of Community resources, well established structures of governance to meet the demand and dynamic of environment, nature and human desires.
ALDO is a legitimate and lawfully registered with the NGOs Coordination Board of Kenya under the newly Promulgated Constitution on 27th August 2010, Registration Certificate number Op.218/051/13-025/8855,Dated 23th May 2013 with mandates to carry out its activities, projects and programs in line with the new laws.
1. To promote dialogue and sharing of values that can be related to building a peaceful co-existence and just society in Kenya and the world at large.
2. To encourage and assist multiethnic communities in Kenya, their moral commitment that can be harnessed to a peace building nation.
3. To plan and implement collaborative advocacy programs based on these shared moral commitment.
4. To mobilize resources for capacitating ALDO to implement programs, projects and activities geared to achieving the moral and shared commitment for just and peaceful society.
5.To research and document the issues, problems, challenges, information and their causations that limit the full and just fulfillment of the life of Kenyan people.
ALDO has developed and came up with strategic plan 2015 / 2019 for effective and efficient implementation of her projects/activities to achieve her objectives in line with government vision 2030.

OUR MAIN OBJECTIVES
The main objective of the Organization is to empower the needy and the less fortunate persons in the community through promotion of capacity building and improving resilience to increase democracy, human rights, equity & equality, integrity, good governance, constitutionalism, rule of law, effective & efficient service delivery, innovation, creativity, improved production, change of attitude and behaviour and more so provide dynamic and ideal interventions.
OUR SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
1. To provide integrated quality education to children, youth, adults and people with special needs through provision of sponsorship, scholarship, bursaries, grants, improving and developing and managing well equipped modern learning facilities close to or at the reach of the needy communities in the marginalized regions to make them easily access the basic fundamental human rights.
2. To recognize, promote and nurture both individual and community talents and potentialities through capacity building training, seminars, workshops, innovative rallies etc.
3. To create awareness/civic education, promote, contribute and support to the rehabilitation and the correction of inmates, children on the streets, alcohol, drugs and subsistence Abuse addicts.
4. To develop ALDO projects/properties, Masjid (mosque), Boreholes, integrated schools (primary and secondary schools for multi-ethnic communities), modern Referral hospitals, colleges, universities, fund generating activities etc.
5. To sensitize and empower the people living with HIV/AIDS, reduce stigmatization and support on socio-economic well-being, affordable health care and educate the public on Adultery, its negative effect and impact on human life.
6. To advocate for the preparedness and management of disaster and natural calamities in the country.
7. To conserve and promote a healthy environment, quality human health services, a forestation and wildlife conservation and good management of our natural resources.
8. To advocate, initiate, support and improve infrastructure in the marginalized regions through drilling of boreholes, rural electrification and rural roads development and maintenance.
9. Identify, advocate, support and enhance peace building, reconciliation, cohesion and integration initiatives in the conflict prone areas in the country.
10. To advocate, initiate and support human rights values, democracy, integrity, honest and sincere leadership and good governance, accountable and transparent government.
11. Initiate, support and promote fund generating projects/activities and also training of
individuals or groups to give theme skills to create self-employment and reduce poverty level. Also away of motivation especially youth and women to be productive, remove them from idleness and abstain them from being involved in alcohol, drugs and subsistence abuse and all other evil activities.
12. To identify, advocate and support people with special needs in the community.
